Course 4 of 4 · Driver track
Safety & ratings.
The non-negotiables behind the wheel, how two-way ratings work, your own safety — and the zero-tolerance list.
The rules that keep riders, drivers, and the platform safe. Read these like they matter — because they're the reason riders trust the car they're getting into.
Non-negotiables
Behind the wheel
- Never drive impaired. No alcohol, no drugs, no "just one." Ever. This is immediate removal, no second chances.
- Phone mounted, hands on the wheel. No texting, no scrolling while the car is moving. Navigation goes on a mount, voice-guided.
- Obey traffic law. Speeding to "make the trip faster" is a violation, not a favor. The rider's rating won't save you from a ticket — or worse.
- Stay on the route the app gives you unless the rider asks for a change. Detours without agreement are a trust violation.
Ratings go both ways
Riders rate drivers, and drivers rate riders. Ratings are how the platform stays honest:
- A pattern of low ratings gets reviewed by a real person — one bad day isn't a pattern, but a habit is.
- Consistently unsafe or disrespectful behavior ends eligibility. The platform protects the community over any one account.
- Rate honestly. Inflated ratings hide problems; unfair ratings get appealed — keep it truthful both ways.
Your safety matters too
- Confirm before you unlock: match the rider's name and face to the app before anyone gets in.
- Share your trip with someone you trust — in-app trip sharing arrives with the Driver app at launch. Coming at launch
- If it feels wrong, end it. Cancel the trip, drive to somewhere safe, and report it. Your safety outranks any fare, any rating, any policy.
Zero-tolerance violations
Immediate, permanent removal
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any rider.
- Using the platform for anything illegal.
- Sharing rider personal details outside the trip.
No warnings, no appeals process theater — these end the account.
The in-app safety toolkit — emergency button, trip sharing, incident reporting — ships with the Driver app at launch. Coming at launch Until then, these rules are the toolkit: learn them now, live them from trip one.
